Sports Pulse — Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
Sports Pulse ("we," "our," or "us") is an independent sports fan community app operated by Dashpup Studios. Sports Pulse is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any professional or collegiate sports team, league, or organization, including but not limited to the NFL, NBA, WNBA, NHL, MLB, UFC, or any soccer league or association, or their member teams. All team names, logos, abbreviations, and related marks are the property of their respective owners.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Sports Pulse mobile application. By using our app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
* The email address associated with your account (via Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, or email/password)
* Username, profile photo, and biography you create during onboarding
* Your favorite team selection
* Your self-reported U.S. state of residence
* Optional social media handles (Instagram, X, TikTok) you choose to add
* Game predictions/picks you make
* Messages you send in public team chats, private communities, and direct messages (including photos, videos, and voice messages)
* Posts, captions, and comments you share on the Sports Pulse Wall, including a self-entered location (country, region, and city) that may be displayed publicly on the app's Globe discovery view
* Private community names and settings if you create a community
* Content you report or users you block for moderation purposes
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
* Device type, operating system, and app version
* App usage data such as features accessed
* Push notification tokens (if you enable notifications)
* Advertising identifiers, subject to your App Tracking Transparency choice (see Section 4)
2.3 Information We Do Not Collect
* We do not collect precise device geolocation. Any location shown (e.g., on the Globe) is self-entered by you.
* If you choose to subscribe to any paid feature in the future, all payment processing is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment card information.
3. How We Use Your Information
* To power app features including predictions, the leaderboard, the Sports Pulse Wall, public team chats, private communities, direct messages, and live streams
* To calculate and display your prediction record, streaks, and leaderboard ranking
* To scope your chat and home experience to your selected favorite team
* To send push notifications about community and social activity (only for the notification types you have enabled)
* To enforce our community guidelines and protect users from harassment and hateful content
* To improve the app experience
* To display advertising (see Section 4)
4. Advertising
Sports Pulse displays advertising through Google AdMob. Depending on your choices, ad providers may collect and use certain data (such as an advertising identifier) to serve and measure ads. On iOS, we use App Tracking Transparency: personalized/tracking-based ads are shown only if you grant permission when prompted. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized using cross-app tracking. You can change this preference at any time in your device Settings.

5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. Your data may be shared in the following limited circumstances:
* Service providers who help us operate the app, including: Google/Firebase (authentication, database, file storage, and server functions); Apple (Sign in with Apple and in-app purchases); Google AdMob (advertising); Agora (real-time voice for live-stream call-ins); Expo (push notification delivery); and, for embedded live video, YouTube. These providers process data on our behalf or under their own terms as applicable.
* Publicly within the app, as described in Section 6.
* When required by law, or to protect the safety and rights of our users.
* In the event of a merger or acquisition, with notice provided to users.
We do not send your personal data to sports data providers; game data is retrieved on an inbound basis only.
6. Public vs. Private Information
* Public to other signed-in users: your username, profile photo, bio, favorite team, prediction record, streaks, leaderboard rank, Sports Pulse Wall posts, and the self-entered location shown on the Globe.
* Semi-public: messages in public team chats and districts are visible to other users of those chats; private community messages are visible only to members of that community.
* Private: your direct messages are visible only to you and the recipient, and DM media is accessible only to the two participants.
7. Predictions and Eligibility
Sports Pulse offers game predictions for entertainment and community engagement. Predictions are not available to users who self-report residence in New York or Florida, and may be restricted in other jurisdictions. Leaderboard rankings are determined by our scoring formula, which we may adjust at any time.
8. Live Streaming
Community hosts may start a live stream that embeds a YouTube video and opens a real-time voice channel (provided by Agora) in which viewers may request to speak. Starting a voice channel or calling in requires microphone permission. We do not store the audio from these sessions.
9. Push Notifications
If you opt in, we send push notifications for activity such as messages in your team chat and communities, direct messages, replies and likes on your Wall posts, and live streams. You can control which notifications you receive in the app, and can disable notifications entirely through your device Settings at any time.
10. Children's Privacy
Sports Pulse is intended for users who are 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
11. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your account data while your account is active. You may delete your account at any time in Settings > Delete Account. Deleting your account removes your profile, your Sports Pulse Wall posts and comments, your direct message threads, your username reservation, and your authentication record.
Please note that some content may persist after account deletion, including messages you posted in public team chats and private communities, community membership records, and certain uploaded media, except where individually deleted. Content you shared in shared spaces may remain visible to preserve the integrity of group conversations. If you would like assistance removing specific additional content, please contact us.
12. Your Rights
You have the right to:
* Access the personal information we hold about you
* Request correction of inaccurate information
* Delete your account and associated data via Settings > Delete Account
* Control or opt out of push notifications
* Manage ad tracking through your device's App Tracking Transparency settings
13. Security
We use industry-standard security measures, including encrypted data transmission and Firebase security rules, to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. Continued use of Sports Pulse after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using Sports Pulse (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Dashpup Studios ("we," "our," or "us").
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Sports Pulse. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are 13 years of age or older. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
Certain features, including game predictions, are not available in all jurisdictions and are currently unavailable to users who reside in New York or Florida.
3. Account Registration
To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for:
* Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
* All activity that occurs under your account
* Ensuring your username and content do not contain hate speech, slurs, or material that violates these Terms
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms at any time and without notice.
4. Community Rules
4.1 Prohibited Content
The following are strictly prohibited:
* Hate speech, slurs, or any language targeting individuals based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
* Harassment, bullying, or threatening behavior toward other users
* Spam, repetitive messaging, or unsolicited promotions
* Content that violates any applicable law or regulation
* Impersonation of other users, public figures, or Sports Pulse staff
* Sexually explicit content or content that endangers minors
4.2 Enforcement
Violations may result in temporary suspension of features, permanent account termination, removal of content, and, where required by law, reporting to relevant authorities. We provide tools to block and report other users.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of content you create and post on Sports Pulse, including Wall posts, chat and community messages, and profile information. By posting content, you grant Sports Pulse a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, distribute, and promote that content within the App for the purpose of operating and improving the service.
You represent that you have the right to post any content you share and that it does not infringe any third-party rights.
6. Predictions and Leaderboards
Sports Pulse predictions are provided for entertainment and community engagement. Rankings are determined by our scoring formula, which we may adjust, reset, or modify at any time. Predictions, streaks, badges, and rankings are digital features with no independent monetary value.
Predictions are not available to users who reside in New York or Florida, and may be restricted in other jurisdictions.
7. Contests and Giveaways
From time to time, we may run contests, giveaways, or promotions. Any such promotion will be governed by its own separate official rules, which will state eligibility requirements, entry methods, prizes, and other terms. Where any promotion conflicts with these Terms, the official rules for that promotion will control for that promotion.
8. Subscriptions and Purchases
Sports Pulse is currently free to use. We may, in the future, offer optional paid features or subscriptions (for example, an ad-free experience or additional features). Any paid feature will be billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, subject to their terms, and any recurring subscription will renew automatically unless cancelled through your device's subscription settings before the end of the billing period. Pricing and features may change, and we do not provide refunds except where required by law or the applicable app store's policies.
9. Advertising
The App displays advertising. By using the App, you acknowledge that ads may be shown and that ad providers may collect certain information as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Intellectual Property
Sports Pulse and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Dashpup Studios and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The App is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with any sports team, league, or organization. All team names, logos, and related marks are the property of their respective owners.
11. Third-Party Services
The App integrates third-party services, including Firebase, Apple, Google, Agora, YouTube, and Expo. Your use of features powered by these services may also be subject to those providers' terms and policies.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
Sports Pulse is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Your use of the App is at your sole risk.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dashpup Studios shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App. Your continued use of Sports Pulse after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
